Hello there, I am Barbie.

This is my Hair story. So far, 20 years in the making. I’m an intuitive handcrafter who has learned by the hands of other talented handcrafters. I am fortunate to be educated by the some of best in the industry and dedicated to continue my learning. My skill set includes having artful eye, perfectionist, and driven passion. Most of all a good listener and communicator. My career path has lead me to positions as a salon/education manager, a national color educator, a freelancer, a salon owner, and now a private studio owner. I haven’t done it alone. My clients are my lifeline. Without you I would have no hair to dress! I strive for superb customer service, as well as, creating a personalized professional well executed service. All services are performed with top salon professional products that are environmentally sustainable, cruelty free, gluten free, and vegan. I am always looking to meet a smiling new face. From modern to timeless hairdressing, I welcome your company and pleased to help you. Happy hair days ahead.

When I am not behind the chair I continue to create. I enjoy seeking out vintage pieces and giving them a new shine and making it special all over again. I design and handcraft jewelry. I believe anything that has history is beautiful. Instead of it going in the trash (tears)… I like to take that beauty and repurpose it into a something new. I take my vintage finds and gently disassemble them, clean, polish, rework, and incorporate them with wire, crystals, odd shaped beads, silverware, old tablecloths, interesting textiles, and almost anything that catches my eye and gets the creative juices going. Sustainability is important to me. Our earth is also our history and our job to keep it beautiful.

When I am not creating something with my hands, I have four other creations I am proud of. They are my children. I love you, Babies. I’m also into outdoor adventures, traveling, fashion, cultures, animals, and food. I love being sociable and new experiences… it all about learning.. and loving life.. and each other.

GlenDale Arts comes from my Grandfather Glen Dale who since has passed. He was a handcrafter with a heart of gold and a laugh that you will never forget.
